The Buildings
The Baby Unit is
situated within a barn set in the garden of the Farmhouse, specifically
adapted for babies and young children. There are four main rooms; under ones, one to 18months and rising two years. A
further room is devoted to a sleeping area, and one to mealtimes Meals are
a social affair, with all ages enjoying their home cooked food together, just as
they would in a family at home

Each room provides the
appropriate toys and equipment for all children in accordance to their
individual age and stage.
We have a separate kitchen for sterilising bottles
and preparing drinks. The main meals are prepared in the kitchen,
situated within the House.

The cots are placed
next to this room, to enable easy access if children are tired.
Daily
progress charts are kept for the younger babies, Parents are able to ensure that
they are aware of nappy changes, feeding times and general comments regarding
their child’s progress through each day.
